Erin Obodiac is currently completing postdoctoral research for the "Paul de Man: Rousseau Papers" project, which is headed up by Martin McQuillan of Kingston U (London) and funded by the UK’s Arts and Humanities Research Council.  In addition to researching the Paul de Man Papers housed at UC Irvine’s Special Collections and Archives, the project involved the transcription and editing of de Man’s unpublished works and the organization of the conference " Property, Sovereignty, and the Theotropic: Paul de Man’s Political Archive."  Dr. Obodiac’s interest in digital archives developed during this project and her recent article, "The Critical Theory Digital Archive," maps out a UCI initiative.  Obodiac received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature in 2007 from UC Irvine and a multi-media digital version of her dissertation, Technics and the Sublime, is in the works.
